All of their studio albums have been certified gold in Denmark. The band is currently signed to Dutch label Mascot Records and has released six studio albums and one DVD. Maybe the song’s foot tappin’ beat ingratiated itself with me, or maybe the song just reminds me when I was in high school and I still thought Green Day were cool. ![]() After selling 1,000 copies of their Beat the Meat demo tape, Volbeat was signed to a record deal by Rebel Monster Records, a sub-label of Mascot Records. Normally, I not much of a fan of Volbeat’s brand of honkytonkore, but I’m actually really digging their new song, The Bliss. The band name “Volbeat” was derived from Dominus’s third album name, which was called Vol.Beat (read as: Volume Beat). As we all know, theres danish lyrics in the song. Singer Michael Poulsen’s first band was death metal act Dominus. The Devil’s Bleeding Crown finds shredder Rob Caggiano cutting across the hammering momentum with blazing licks, while the punky Black Rose folds snarling power. Their current line-up consists of vocalist and guitarist Michael Poulsen, guitarist Rob Caggiano, drummer Jon Larsen and bassist Kaspar Boye Larsen. On Seal the Deal & Let’s Boogie, Volbeat shake heaven’s pillars with humongous riffs, heavy-metal hooks, and Michael Poulsen’s thunderous howls. They play a fusion of rock and roll, heavy metal, and rockabilly. Volbeat is a Danish rock band formed in Copenhagen in 2001.
